I write this on one of those sweet weekend mornings when I have the luxury to slowly awake. Peaceful thoughts emerge even before I'm fully awake and continue until I find myself calmly gazing out the window, wondrous thoughts drifting though my mind. This is where many ideas are born. I then carry them through the day and then on through the week. And, I smile when I realize all the enrichment that such wonder brings us.
There's a fundamental split between two realms, the internal and the external. Somehow they're connected. One is a reflection of the other. But, they must exist together. I've spent my years pondering the implications that this split represents. This has had me meandering back and forth between Science and Spirituality. Eventually, I had to find a way to let Science and Spirituality coexist.
Here on this site, I've been writing about these realms of thinking, encouraged by a friend with whom I've been sharing these thoughts. I do what I can to make all this as approachable and useful as possible. My hope is that these thoughts will contribute to constructive thinking, as there are many challenging contradictions in our existence.
I've recently been striving to find reasonable boundaries between Science and Spirituality, along with a way to resolve some of the challenges and allow these realms to coexist in constructive ways. This means dealing with that split between the internal and the external and pondering the nature of mind and thinking. Along with this, it means seeking the ways in which we can elevate our emotional state and bring it into a place that is not in opposition to our existence and the challenges thereof.
The topics here include the nature of self, consciousness, and thinking. There is a small amount of mathematics and a bit of creative and poetic writing. In general, it's somewhat eclectic. And again, it's meant to be approachable, and it's meant to enrich our lives. Hopefully, there will be those who will find that they can use these ideas in constructive ways. I would also hope that this would encourage deeper reflection and allow us to go beyond the common shallow labels.
As I said at the beginning, I write this on one of those sweet weekend mornings when I have the luxury to slowly awake. Peaceful thoughts emerge even before I'm fully awake and continue until I find myself calmly gazing out the window, wondrous thoughts drifting though my mind. This is where many of these ideas are born. I then carry them through the day and then on through the week. And, I smile when I realize all the enrichment that such wonder brings us. I hope to share this with you here. I hope to offer you the beauty of wonder and the same enrichment it brings me.
